New New New

While I took a hiatus from the blog for a few months I have a lot of new news to report. It is bizarre just how much has changed in my life as of late but all of it has been good and most of it great. As reported, I am now a single lady. While it was difficult I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I also took the plunge and bought a puppy! He is such a handful and training is one of the hardest things I have ever attempted in my almost 23 years! He is worth it though, and once its done it will only be fun with him. Not to mention he is about the cutest thing you've ever laid eyes on... think Boo the Pomeranian only smaller (if that is even possible).

On top of all of this as if these changes weren't enough I decided to be headstrong and go after a new job. While I have been looking since January the beginning of February brought on feverish ambition to finally land something new. I set a goal, the suggestion of my best friend Alex, to have a new job before March 20th. The significance of the date was small but gave me a lot of drive to get it done. And I did! New job was landed on March 15th and will commence on April 4th. Sticking with what I am good at, I accepted another hotel position. A promotion that will come with more responsibility and fun.
I will be working at 2 new properties both are very appealing to me!

Both great properties that exude style and fashion which is much more fitting for my personality. I am elated to be starting something new and to play a more important role!

Just goes to show the opportunities are endless and I can do just about anything!
Next week is my birthday and I cannot wait to celebrate this weekend over sushi with tons of friends!

So this is how I am spending my time at work today. Wasting away in the expanse that is the blogger world drooling over these designs and dreaming of the day when I have my own space to express myself in this way.

Life Sans Blog vs. Life Plus Blog

I took another LONGG vacation...

I am back with an update. As a single woman these days (not too many hard feelings) the single life is fun again (!) I am working feverishly to find a new job and get a few things established with my life.

As of late my newest obsessions are:
1. Sushi- holy NAMI, just a few weeks ago I discovered my love. If you are in Minneapolis this is a must do-

2. Bloody Mary. Never EVER did I think I could enjoy these. But the key is for me, to order more tomato less spicy. My favorite place for this is:
Legends not usually my style but cannot go wrong for a huge $6 bloody with all the necessary fixins..

3. CONCERTS
Galore... I tell ya. I have tickets to a ton of upcoming shows

2.  Fun.

4. The Black Keys
5. Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
6. Foster the People

Couldn't be more excited about any of these shows!!!!!  I also just saw  Bombay Bicycle Club which was phenomenal, along with Lucy Rose and The Darcys.

Other news to share: waiting for my tax return so I can buy a new Hunter purse!

Update

Deployment Day Countdown: ~152

Wow it's gone fast. Surprisingly. I wish I could write a guide for women going through what I am going through. It's all about your attitude. Deployment doesn't have to be hard. You control your own emotions. Some days it feels totally unfair that no matter how badly I want to contact him, I just cannot. I have to wait for him. Every time it feels like it will be forever until he calls again, he does. After some turbulence, a near breakup to be exact, we are back on track. I forgot that I am not the only one who needs reminding. Reminding him how much I love and appreciate him is important. He is going through a lot of change and my goal, besides keeping myself happy, is to be his constant. I hope he feels like my support has gotten him through the tough stuff. His leave dates have changed and been pushed back, but we can do it! Every day I get closer to seeing him. I get butterflies just thinking about the hug and the first kiss. That feeling keeps me going

We're almost done!!!!

Interior

I talked and talked and talked about what I would do with my room at my new house. It's December now and it's not seen a lot of action. I have plain white walls and it's just a mish-mash of things. I stumbled upon some pictures on lark + linen from awhile back that have me thinking... I should feng-shui, rearrage, paint, etc.

Somehow I am a sucker for antlers

Our house was recently painted but due to the bad timing (FINALS WEEK) I asked them to skip my bedroom. No need for paint fumes fogging my concentration or causing migraines. So, I now really want to paint it myself. I wouldn't pick anything that would disgust the landlord but it wouldn't be boring white. Of that I am certain.

Things I need to add:
1. Desk -> paint job
2. Fur throw
3. Antlers
4. Paint

Hiatus

After a hiatus of 2+ months...I'm back! And I am a new girl. Kind of...

I graduated college. I know its an accomplishment but I am more or less sad. I am sad that I won't be able to take classes and keep refining my skills. Maybe after some relaxation I will be more excited about this milestone.

As for now just work and hobbies. Talking to boyfriend, going out to eat, napping, etc.

Goals for the new year aka New Years Resolutions:

1. Gym membership
2. Take dance classes (boyfriend bought me a pass )
3. Read
4. Learn to cook new things/try new restaurants
5. Keep up with this here blog...

Seems like a solid list to me. Hopefully I can follow through.

Heading home for the Holiday! Awaiting the arrival of my package to the boyfriend over there.. hoping he loves it!
